I have recently replaced the oxygen sensor for my engine. The technician felt lost to which wire to attach the sensor to since there were 5 loose wires 3 of which surely relate to the (engine coolant temperature sensor and engine coolant temperature sender) as well as 2 more wires, colors were (black- black- violet - yellow- violet). The exhaust emissions tell me that the oxygen sensor is not working right, so I figured that the violet wire attached is not the right one (the 2 violet wires available to attach differ in thickness, one is surely relevant for the engine coolant temperature sensor, the technician might have switched this for that). How can I trace the purple wire leading to the oxygen sensor? I have 2 purple (violet) wires flowing within the thick harness near the ABS unit. Where does the oxygen sensor wire originally reach so that I can check with a continuity test?

Hello there. I think I have found the location in which you are looking for. Connector C2 at the PCM pin 12.

Mr. Stephenson, I am very delighted and grateful to you too for this great assistance, can I have the rest of this schematic diagram since I have a stubborn stalling issue with my engine that had been under the microscope here but despite the tremendous help and info provided by this great page it kept on recurring. The wires had been tampered by wicked guys here and I need to restore every sensor and switch to factory setting. Once again, thanks a lot to you for a real prompt and useful dispatch.

Dear COLBY_STEPHENSON2000,

1. I made sure that the right Oxygen sensor wire is actually leading to the same A12 point. The schematic diagram you provided was referring to A and B points/terminals within the 12-pin pink connector of the PCM that faces the passenger seat, not the smaller one that is an ECP PCM ECU Engine Control Module and is located at the right passenger side so close to front passenger door hinges. Thank you very much, the work continues with the rest of anonymous wires as I have a few more ones to make sure of.

Oh, no my dear, sorry if my phrasing suggested another thing, I was assuring you of which connector had that A12 pin because the PCM has 2 pink connectors: a 16-pin and a 12-pin ones. The problem is solved, once and forever hopefully.

Beautiful, neatly planned and distinguished, even an ignorant mechanic/electrician can understand- Lots of thanks and gratitude. My engine is broken since last week, a burnt out gasket and most probably annealed piston rings, I am dealing with these issues till the Eid season is over when my mechanic is ready to receive the car.
