Overheating issues?

All of a sudden it just started overheating, we changed the thermostat, and it still overheats. We drove it for an hour and a half then parked it for a few days. Got in it and boom problems.

Before we changed the thermostat we burped/bled the lines, overheated. Changed thermostat overheated. What am I missing and what could the problem be?

Hi,

Does this happen if you are driving at highway speeds, or does it seem limited to in-town driving (stop-and-go traffic)?

Also, is the cooling fan turning on when it starts getting hot? Also, after you replaced the thermostat, did you bleed the air from the system?

When you installed the new thermostat assembly, did you align the air bleed with the location notch on the outlet connector? See pic below.

I have one last question for now. Don't laugh, but does the heater work?
