Engine fans are always running for a while after shutting off and now is overheating even when in idle. No codes are coming back with computer check. I hear a gurgling from the coolant after shutting off the car and the large hose is hot from the coolant to engine. I think its either a clogged hose or the thermostat. How could I be sure without a full service diagnosis?

Hello,

Typically, when the thermostat is stuck closed, it won't allow coolant to flow, and you will have a significant temperature difference between the upper and lower radiator hose. One will be hot and stiff and the other will be cooler and softer.

Take a look at this guide. It goes over the troubleshooting steps for overheating.

Let me know what you find or if you have any questions.
Thank you.
