Overheating and no heat

Van is overheating quickly when warming up or driving and there is no heat. We changed thermostat.

Sound like a possible head gasket is it blowing white smoke or loosing coolant?

Yes the coolant went to radiator I had someone try to fix it but the thing has the slant engine its damn near impossible. Does it need to be put in shop and is it fix able
