(GT model) never in red just water gets hot and comes out overflow. Changed thermostat today no oil in water or vice versa and fans work. What could be the problem if you might know?

I would get the radiator removed and get it core cleaned. You may have a partially blocked radiator that is restricting coolant circulation. A back flush will not clear a plugged core.
