After solving the issue with the throttle and intake temperature sensor codes which turned out to be a disconnected wire, i replaced the oil filter cooler housing as it was leaking. Before doing that i noticed the temperature goes above the middle and then comes back. Anyways, i drove it drives great after replacing the housing. Still overheats past the middle line, when i stop and turn off the A/C and rev it few times the temperature drops. Boiling reservoir. Upper radiator hose feels okay, lower feels colder than the top. But i also had code p0117 from before when i was dealing with the intake temp sensor. Not sure if that is a common code on these which indicates a temperature sensor fault, or the thermostat may be faulty. Coolant reservoir is full. Not sure if these require bleeding procedure which i doubt.

Is the cooling fan running? If so, I would swap out the thermostat which controls the engine temperature. Here is the location and how to change it out. This guide may help as well:

Check out the images (below). Let us know how it goes.

Thermostat didn't solve it, but changing the oil filter cooler housing fixed it.
