Hello,

There are a number of reasons why the engine will overheat.
Besides the thermostat, it could be due to a bad water pump, faulty radiator, clog in the cooling system or the radiator fan not working properly. Also, for having low or contaminated coolant.

Does it overheat while you are driving or if you are at a stop?

Take a look at this guide. It covers the typical issues, diagnostics.
