I bought the car used so not really sure what was done. However, it seems to want to overheat. It has not gone to the red lines but it moves a lot pass have especially when I have AC on. A mechanic says he does not see a problem. What else can I do? And is it normal for my gauge to move a little is it suppose to stay still?

Good afternoon.

That is above normal.

It should be below the center line.

I would suggest changing the thermostat first.

Other possibilities:

1. Thermostat

2. Cooling fan not working

3. Radiator clogged

4. Leaking head gasket

5. Low in coolant

6. Bad radiator cap.
