Overheating

2001 SUBARU FORESTER
205,000 MILES • 2.3L • 4 CYL • 4WD • AUTOMATIC

The engine starts to overheats after about thirty minutes on the highway. There is no loss of fluid and I replaced the thermostat but it still gets hot. Could it be the fans or the engine coolant temperature sensor? I am not sure how to check those.
