My wife's vehicle began overheating this morning. The temperature gauge goes all the way up, and I can see steam or mist coming from behind the fan. I take it that means there's a hole in the radiator. Would that be correct, or could there be another source of the steam?

Is the steam coming from the tailpipe? If so here is a guide that will help.

Did you see coolant leaking on the ground when the engine is cold? Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem. Cheers, Ken
