Overheating

You could have a bad water pump is there is no circulation.

The radiator may be clogged with debris inside. You can verify by taking the temperature of the radiator at 6 points with an infrared gun.

Are the cooling fans working?

Lastly, you may have a failed head gasket leaking compression into the cooling system.

I just want to clarify where you are not getting coolant. Number 6 is the thermostat in this image. Are you saying there is no coolant flowing through the hose coming from number 2 of the image?

If so, we have a restriction and I am wondering if you either have a faulty thermostat or possibly have it in backwards. Basically hot coolant should be coming through this hose leading to the radiator where it works it way down to the lower hose and back to the engine.

Let me know this info and we can go from there. Thanks
