Hi,
If this only happens when sitting still, it sounds like an issue. When the vehicle starts to overheat, pay attention to see if the fan turns on.

If the fan does not turn on, follow these directions.
Also, check fuses 1 and 2 in the under hood fuse box. Both are 30 amp and power the cooling fan. See pic 1

Also, check relays 56, 60, 61 in the under hood fuse / relay box. See pic 2
