I would also get a coolant pressure tester (I will add a picture below) and test the system for leaks. Your reservoir cap or radiator cap should give you a value in PSI. If not, 13-16 PSI should be enough. Once you have the pressure tester hooked up. Pump the system up to the spec you found on the cap. You want to then take a good light and see if you can find any external leaks. I would leave it on for a half hour checking it periodically to see if the pressure is dropping.

I would try to look for a leak out the bottom of your water pump as well. There is a hole in the bottom called a weep hole and if it is leaking from there the seal is bad in the pump and you will need to replace the pump.

If you don't see any external leaks, you may have an internal leak like a cracked head or a blown head gasket.

You can rent one at your local auto parts store or if you have one in your area Harbour Freight sells a good one.

Let me know what you come up with and we can go from there. I want to make sure your coolant system is building pressure or not leaking internally.
