Hi,

Does the overheating only happen when you are in stop and go traffic? Does it ever happen at highway speeds?

If it is only at stop and go speeds, the cooling fan may not be running. I need you to listen for it when you are stopped and the temp starts to go beyond where you feel it should.

If the fans do not turn on, turn the engine off, open the hood, and locate two fuses for me, cooling fan low and cooling fan high fuses. See pics 1 and 2 below. Check both fuses. Additionally, check to see if there is power to and from them. They should have power at all times.

Here is a link you may find helpful:

Try this and let me know the results so that I can make an educated decision on what to do next.

Take care,

Joe
