Hi,

You changed nearly everything. I have a couple of questions. When you reinstalled the coolant, are you sure all air was out from the system? Also, when it overheats, do you hear coolant boiling or spilling over indicating it isn't a wiring issue with the sensor?

Also, keep in mind that a failed head gasket can cause this type of issue as well. Take a look through this link and let me know if anything mirrors what you are seeing:

A few more questions. Does the vehicle feel as though it has a power loss? Are there any odd sounds or odors? Any smoke from the exhaust?

Let me know.

Joe

Okay, that could indicate a bad head gasket. Does the engine coolant ever seem to get low and require you to add? If so, the next thing I would do is check engine compression to see if we have one or more cylinders with lower compression.

Here is a link that shows how that's done:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-test-engine-compression

Also, if you could record the white smoke so I could see it, I may be able to tell what is going on. However, keep in mind, revving the engine that high without a load on it isn't something I would do too often. It can be hard on the engine.

Let me know.
