My overdrive switch has gone bad, when I removed it the overdrive stared working again. The problem is I cannot find anyone that has this switch. Can anybody please tell me where I can get one or will I have to upgrade it to a different style switch and try to make it work?

Good morning.

The switch has been discontinued. You can either try to find one in a junk yard or you can install a toggle switch on the dash for this operation.

Okay, thank you. I was just concerned with finding another kind of switch that will fit into the female connector piece. Does not appear to be standard.

You are welcome.

You can get the pins to connect to the connector at a parts store and attach them to the wire ends of your harness from the switch.

Thank you Roy.
Let me clarify, you are saying I could get a different switch without the same pin pattern as the original and would be able to hook that newer updated switch to the same harness even if the newer switch has less pins than the original one. Does that sound right?

No, you could get a universal switch form a parts store and some wire and pin ends. You would need the correct pins that will fit into the connector that the old switch was attached to. You will need to build the harness yourself for it to work.
