Overdrive not working properly

1996 GMC SONOMA
135,000 MILES • 4.3L • 6 CYL • 4WD • AUTOMATIC

First, second, third shift perfect. No overdrive. It does not slip at overdrive range or rev up at overdrive range. It just hold steady in third.

It sounds like a shift solenoid has gone out. I would remove the 2-3 and 3-2 to test and make sure they are working, here is a diagram below.
