Bought it from auction, it drives great. Washed it and left it running. I also added coolant before I let it run a while as it was low so I expected something to leak maybe. Started to overheat and the reservoir boiled all over. The fan isn't on when the A/C is on so I think the fan is not kicking. Hit the fan with a rubber hammer didn't move. Tried to remove plug and I saw this in the picture. Not sure what it is. How to check if the fan is or is not working on these. Didn't see any water leaking from any hoses. No codes. Not sure if it's the fan or if these have fuses or relays

Found the 50-amp fuse in the box on driver side under hood. Was blown. Fan makes a lot of noise when it works so I ordered another.

Hi,

Thanks for the update. Yep, it sounds like you found the problem. The fan motor itself is causing the fuse to fail.

I don't know if you need them, but I attached the directions for removing and installing the new fan.

Let me know how things turn out for you.

Take care,

joe
