Hello,

Overheating can lead to engine power loss.
Can you tell us little more details of what you have been experiencing?

An engine can overheat due to a number of reasons. It could be for lack of coolant, stuck closed thermostat, bad water pump, faulty radiator, inoperative cooling fan.

Take a look at this helpful guide:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/engine-overheating-or-running-hot

Also are you getting any error lights? Is the check engine light on?
If so scanning to get the code(s) can help.

Let me know of any questions.
Thank you.
