Overheating

  • 137,000 MILES
Replaced coolant pump, replaced the thermostat, did not work. Replaced head gasket and now stuck on the road because it will not stop over heating. Drove it for thirty miles after the head gasket was changed. Radiator looks fine. Anybody have a clue? I checked cylinders they look fine.

It sounds like the radiator cooling fan are not coming on. Can you hear them working when the engine is over heating?

When it's up to operating temp are both upper and lower radiator hoses too hot to touch?With the fans on are they blowing out hot air?

Yea and both are hard like the system is over pressured put a new cap on did nothing to get rid of pressure on them

It sounds like you still may have exhaust gases getting into the cooling system. Lets try this test to confirm the problem.
