Had thermostat replaced yesterday after it overheated. There was so much steam it looked like it was on fire coming out from under the hood on passenger side mostly. I replaced the radiator cap a while back because it was busted. The truck was pegged out the other day when overheated. Since replaced it drove fine a couple of times then drove it home today about five miles or so and all that steam started coming out again when I got home. Fluid on the ground under the passenger tire but motor does not feel that got at all and temperature gauge was not pegged out but running little high. So what could be wrong?

Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros.com.

It sounds like you have a leak. What you need to do is this. When the engine is cool, confirm that the radiator is full. Next, you will need to pressurize the system so you can see where the leak is coming from. Here are two links that discusses how to fix a coolant leak and how to pressure test the system:

Take a look through those two links and let me know what you find. If you need help or have other questions, feel free to ask.

Take care,
Joe
