Output speed sensor (P0722), where is it located?

I have bought the part, but I have yet to be able to find it on the transmission. It’s a 9 speed automatic. Everything I’ve read it says it’s on the inside. I would really like some help, i definitely don’t want to have to pay hundreds of dollars for a $30 part.

Hi,

To access the VSS, the transmission pan needs removed and the valve body.

I attached the directions below for replacing the sensor as well as removing the valve body.

Take a look through the directions and let me know if you have questions.
