I have searched all over and I cannot find it. Do I have to take the transmission pan off to find the output speed sensor?

Hi,

Are you looking for the turbine input speed sensor or the speedometer speed sensor? If it is the speedo, I attached a pic below showing the sensor's approximate location.

Pic 2 are the directions for replacing it.

Let me know if this helps or if you have other questions. Note that the manual does not refer to an output speed sensor. I suspect it is the speedo speed sensor.

Let me know what you find.

Take care,

Joe

Is it inside the transmission? I don't see it. I'll take a pic and send the pic back to me with a circle around where it is?

Hi,

It should be on the outside of the transmission. If it was internal, the directions would indicate that it needed to be taken apart.

Let me know.

No, it's not there either I've looked everywhere. Do I have to remove something to access it?

Hi,

The only other thing I am finding is the input turbine speed sensor. That requires the valve body to be removed. But I just went through another manual and found the same thing for the output.

Let me know.

Joe

I attached the directions below for the input sensor. They are vague, but it will give you an idea of the process. It isn't a 10-minute job.
