Where do I put the washer on my outer tie rod?

I'm having trouble finding the answer to a simple question listed above. Does it go on the bottom of the knuckle, between the castle nut and knuckle? Or does it go on top of the knuckle, like between the ball joint and knuckle? Any help is appreciated.

This part does not use a washer. here are the instructions on how to change the part out and a washer is not used. The washer will make the connection not secure so please do not put one on it. Check out the images (below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.
