Intermittent crank no start issue, there is a disconnected line under the hood?

I bought the car listed above used and my girlfriend has been driving for a month now. The car sometimes just cranks and won't start. I was looking under the hood and found a line disconnected. Can anyone tell me what this line is and where it would go?

Hi,

That appears to be a fuel line. If you follow it, does it go to the fuel tank? Have you noticed any fuel odor?

If that is a fuel line, I don't think it would run. Check to see if that is where it appears to go and let me know what you find.
