When I bought this truck, neither of the exterior handles opened the rear doors on the extended cab. Now neither the interior nor exterior handles work on the driver side but the interior handle works on the pass side. Any ideas how to fix it? Thanks

Hi,

If I had to guess, I would say the exterior handle has broken where the linkage attaches to it. The interior is likely the same or the linkage could have come disconnected for both inside and outside.

For some reason, my manual only provides information for the front doors, but the rear work on the same principle.

So, what I need you to do is remove the door panel so you can get a good look at the linkage and handles. I attached two pics below. Pic 1 is the exterior and pic 2 is the interior. I highlighted the linkage and in pic 1 I also highlighted where they are known to break.

Let me know if this helps or if you have other questions.

Take care,

Joe
