2000 Opel Vectra OIL LEVEL

ON ONBOARD COMPUTER IN CAR IT SAYS CHECK OIL LEVEL EVEN THOW OIL IS AT PROPER LEVEL WHEN CHECKED COLD IN THE MORNING BUT AFTER BEEN DRIVING FOR AWHILE IT THEN READS "CHECK OIL LEVEL", LEFT FOR AN HOUR, CHECHED THEN OIL READS AT LOW ON DIPSTICK, PLEASE HELP.

Check for leaks ! Do a complete oil and filter replacement to the correct level

For some reason it has corrected itself, same reading both ways but "check oil level" still comes up on the computer plus a several more readings so i'd imagine it will need to be checked out with the tech2.

The oil sensor could be faulty !

I think dave you could be right, sensor has had it. Cause oil is perfect but sensor still reads check oil level, not all of the time but a good bit.

Check the wiring to the sensor is not worn or damaged in some way as well !

If sensor is faulty or damaged is it much of a job to replace?
