Does a different type of Fuel Pump may affect engine performance? I've read to some thread that fuel pressure is measured in PSI. I have an Opel Vectra 2.0L got installed due to busted fuel pump. Due to high cost of the original spare parts my mechanic put a Mitsubishi Lancer fuel pump and it works. I wanna ask if there will be an effect in engine in the long run using the other brand's parts.

Thanks!

As long as you are getting the correct PSI it will not affect the running of the vehicle. In the short or long term
