2007 Other Opel Models 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual 75 000 miles

hi. I have a problem with opel. After 30km of its 75 000 km service the corsa utility 1.4 broke a camshaft. The cambelt was changed at the service but was also broken when assessed after the breakdown. We missed with 3 000km the service on 60 000km, but was left with only a warning by the service maintenance company Motorite. Now the dealer wants us to pay 15% of the repair cost because we 'faulted' on the warranty 2 services back. I have spoken to a few people and they say the camshaft braking is a well known fault om this model. I wanted to know if we missed a service with 3 000km will it real cause a camshaft breaking 12 000km further. Should they have picked up at the service the camshaft is about to break in 30km. I would appreciate if I could have your expert opinion. Have a great day. Thys

If the belt was not changed and your book not stamped for the belt change @ 60k. Then it should have been changed at the next service. Because it was missed previously. The service repair centre should have picked up on this and changed the belt. Which snapped. And caused the damage to the camshaft/valves.
