2003 Other Opel Models Automatic Choke

My car will start fine but I have to keep my foot on the accelerator otherwise the engine will die - it seems to rectify itself after 15 minutes or so which I assume means the automatic choke is broken - are they expensive/difficult to fix or replace?

check/clean or replace the IAC (idle air control) valve !!
