2002 Other Opel Models 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual 90 000 miles

My 2002 Opel Corsa 140i sport won't go into reverse, nor into 5th gear, what can be the problem?

check the gear linkages .. a common fault on this model is they get worn !
