2000 Other Opel Models Electrical fan / Fan unit

The fan sensor on the engine is connected to the electrical fan, the engine starts getting warm without the fan coming on, but if I unplug the fan sensor the fan comes on. Possibly a faulty fan sensor?

replace the sensor !!
