Opel corsa 1.4 essentia speedo and petrol gauge stopped working

Hi, my speedo meter on the opel corsa 1.4 essentia works for about 2km then stoped working. the petrol gauge shows that the tank is full all the time. I have checked that the cable is still fine and clean. nothing seems to be wrong with the cable. Please can you help, I don’t know what else to do.

it could be trans related or the cluster has failed.

you say it has a cable???
