2003 Opel Astra catalyc converter light

2003 Opel Astra 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I opened the air filter container to check the filter and closed itback, when I started the car the catalyc converter light stayed on and the car ran rough and unsteady

check the wire connecting to the MAF sensor on the air cleaner/filter housing is connected correctly

check the plug of air temperature sensor that is on the hose or the MAF sensor plug
