2002 Opel Astra 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual

Our Opel Astra Caravan station wagon makes four loud beeps when you travel for a short distance and the engine has not warmed up properly.

Seat belt beeper?!!!
Outside low temp?
Handbrake sensor damaged

No seat belt sensor and handbrake warning light seems to be working fine. South Africa does not really have low outside tempretures, epecially at the coast, but the temp senor may be a point. The tempreture guage on this car has always been low. On the open road the tempreture normally sits a smidge above cold and round town it seldom gets as high as mid way.

put a carton in front and check if it is temperature matter

A news paper or hard paper carton just to warm at once so you will see if it is temp problem
