2002 Opel Astra Dead spot on my car

Hi my car has a dead spot, sometimes worse than other times, it usually accurs in 1, 2 gears and even if i put my foot down it does not go for a bit then suddenly excelrates. what could be the problem?

check/replace the TPS (throttle position sensor)
