2001 Opel Astra Throttle Position Sensor

After an engine wash, my motor vehicle starts up, idles at 500rpm, lower than the normal 800 or so and then does not respond to the accelerator pedal whatsoever. Some diagnostic software pointed to a throttle position sensor. How much trouble am I in? Please help
