Over the last 40,000km I have heard a distinct rattling from the clutch/gearbox area of my Astra. The noise is very distinctive on cold starts and prevails throughout cold days. It remains whether the clutch pedal is depressed or not but goes away if the gearlever is held tightly in my hand. Any ideas of the cause?
