Only heat blows out the defrost

Turn A/C and only heat blows out. No matter what I set it on. And the A/C unit doesn't kick on.

Hello,

Your vehicle could need to have the Freon recharged. Your A/C system uses Freon to make it work. It is able to transfer the heat out of your vehicle's cabin to the outside with the use of Freon. No Freon, no cooling. I have included a few links below for you to go to.
