Transmission only has reverse

Replace the driver side CV joint was the wrong one. took it to a shop they replaced it with the right one. put a new seal in and it only has reverse, it will not go into any other gear. makes no extra noises and it kind of acts like it wants to go into gear but it doesn't but it has a strong reverse.

Good morning,

Is the check engine light on with any transmission codes?

Make sure you have sufficient fluid on the dipstick.

If all that is good, you have an internal failure in the transmission. The forward clutches sound like they have failed.
