I recently replaced the EGR sensor and valve in my SUV after receiving an engine diagnostic code (code p0401 i believe) for incomplete exhaust gas combustion. After replacing these my blower works but only blows air through the defrost vents. Cold air if on A/C and warm air if temperature gauge is on warm.
I suspect a vacuum hose problem but don't see anything obvious. Any ideas?
Btw, the incomplete exhaust gas combustion code comes back intermittently, ideas on a possible fix for that?

Hello,

If you can send us the Direct Trouble Code (DTC) for the Exhaust Gas Re-circulation (EGR) valve, we can send you the factory diagnostic troubleshooting guide for running down the problem so you can get it fixed correctly. The problem with all the air blowing out of the defrost is a problem with your defrost actuator that has failed in the defrost position. Here is a link down below for you to go to:

Please go through this guide and get back to us with what you are able to find out.

Thanks,
Alex
