On-board module fried

I have the vehicle listed above Quattro.
my on-board module on driver side fried and the wire on the 12 pin black connector pin #9 which I believe is black with yellow strip ha's melted all the way to the passenger side. I'm trying to figure out what that wire is and trying to get a diagram so I can find the source of why it had melted to I can fix the problem. anything would help.

Hello, I'm Danny.

With the information you have given here is as follows: Number #9 pin is brown/yellow and goes from ECM to Intake Manifold Tuning Valve Position Sensor. I did find a black/yellow that went to the E-box relay panel. Here is a tutorial for you to view testing wiring:
