I was told by a mechanic that I should have the timing belt changed on my 2001 Olds Silhouette @ 100000 miles. When I called a repair shop to schedule the timing belt change, I was told by the mechanic he didn't see where this model has timing belt but instead has a timing chain. I have searched the internet and the owner's manual to see if this was true but haven't found anything yet. Can you tell me if my vehicle has a timing belt or not?
