Our van started overheating a couple of weeks ago. After replacing the thermostat and the water pump, it is no longer overheating. After replacing the water pump the first time it was started, there was a plume of white smoke out the tail pipe right after it was started that only lasted a few seconds. Once driving, the van did not over heat and no more white smoke. It only happens for a few seconds after the van is started after it has been sitting over night. It is summer but the whether has only been in the 70's to low 80's with constant cloud cover and off and on rain for almost a week. I was told it's just condensation from the rain and the humidity. The smoke does not have the "sweet smell" or the "burning smell". There is no other colors to it such as blue or gray. Is it just condensation or is there another problem? Van runs strong with no problems what so ever.
