my friends sillouette, heats up too hot and then drops down to too cool, He changed the leaking water pump and somewhat flushed the system. when it heats up too much the heater in the van gets very hot, but when it drops down it does not throw any heat, Got any ideas on this---thanx -Rick

this is caused usually by two things.thermostat failing.
or air in the system. this eng has a bleeder near the tstat housing run the eng until norm operateing temp. loosen this bleeder when pure coolant is flowing system is bled..
