1990 Oldsmobile Silhouette when i hit brakes van dies

hi, when the problem occurs, if your saying, the starter won't crank, no dash lites, nothing, I'd have to check the feed to and from the ignition switch. The two red wires, left side of picture, voltage to switch, hot all the time. The other circuits, feed from the switch, meaning, the key has to be in certain position, before circuit goes hot.
