I need to set the timing on a 1997 oldsmobile regency, 3.8 L engine. I repaired the heads for a blown gasket, and replaced the timing belt. The car tries to start but won't. Thanks for your help. L Williams

Did you put engine no.1 piston on its compression stroke/TDC and line the cam and crank?

The ignition timing is not adjustable its electronically controlled.
