In the morning when I first start my 2001 bravada it will knock for approximently 5 minutes and then run fine I thought it was the Oil pump but the gauge is right in the middle so I am not sure if that is it or not. It was doing it right before I changed my oil and after I changed the oil the knocking stopped until the oil was approx 1,500 miles old and then started it again. Could I assume it is the oil pump even though the oil pressure gauge seems ok?

Hi there,

i would not trust the gauge in the car, have the oil pressure checked with a master gauge on cold start up and hot run. make sure oil and filter are correct, better to check now then have very expensive repairs around the corner.
