My 1989 Oldsmobile Delta 88 with a standard EFI 3800 V6 engine(189,000 miles) has not even the smallest spark going to the #1 spark plug. My question is: Since this model has the cylinder's "paired" at the ignition coil, (1&4, 5&2, 3&6), is it safe to assume that a defective coil would kill the flow of juice to a minimum of 2 cylinders? (In my case, since plug #1 is dead at the coil, then plug 4 should also be dead if the "coil" is to blame? Furthermore, if plug 4 fires fine, then the control module "is" causing the problem with plug #1?
