Car stalls while driving chugs and wont start up until sits

1985 oldsmobile calais, 3.0, 6 cylinder engine fuel injected 156 000 kms. It will start great and drive great but then chugs or boggs and will stall. After sitting for 10 minuets it will turn over and go for a block or so. Could this be the spark plugs as I checked them and they were a little corroded. Also could it be the fuel injecters what should I try first? Please help with any feedback thankyou.

Change those sparkplugs to the correct type and gap it properly. Check the fuel pressure with a gauge and comeback with the readings then will move to the next phase.

When you turn key to On position do you hear the fuel pump for 2secs?

Yes I do hear the fuel pump for 2 secs when key is turned to the on position. Thanks for the help I will do that today asap.
